McKenna files complaint against Inslee

Republican gubernatorial candidate Rob McKenna says his Democratic rival is improperly handling his federal campaign money.

McKenna said in documents filed Thursday that Jay Inslee failed to properly report transfers and committed other violations. Inslee has been able to transfer some money from his federal account to his state account by getting permission from donors.

Inslee campaign spokesman Sterling Clifford called the accusations nonsense. The filing comes a couple weeks after Inslee submitted a complaint against McKenna.

Public Disclosure Commission officials will review both complaints to determine whether they want to pursue either of them.
