The Omak High School Bowling Team competed at the Washington State Bowling Proprietors State Tournament at Kenmore Lanes February 21-22.
Omak finished in 4th place.
Two Omak kids were on the All-State Team. Vanessa Vanderweide was the number one girl in the state for the 2nd year, with a 198 average. Anthony Lewis was 2nd team All-State with a 198 average, Anthony also made his second all-state team in a row.
Omak was voted by Inspirational Team (Sportsmanship Award) by the tournament.
The 1st Day of the tournament is a Swiss Style tournament where there is one point possible per player and 2 points possible for total pins. (Possible 7 points per match) Teams bowl 5 Swiss Style matches.
The 2nd Day of tournament is Baker Style 1st Bowler bowl 1st and 6th frames, 2nd Bowler bowls 2nd and 7th frames, etc. (7 Points possible per match) teams bowl 5 matches.
Every Round is a position Round.
