Teams Announced for WSBPA 52nd Annual State High School Varsity Bowling Championships February 18-19, 2017

The 5wnd Annual Washington State Bowling Proprietors’ Association (WSBPA), State High School Varsity Bowling Championships will be held Saturday & Sunday, February 18-19, 2017, at Lilac Lanes in Spokane, WA (1112 E. Magnesium Road, Spokane, WA), Admission is FREE.

24 five-person teams will compete in three divisions along with 47 bowlers competing in a singles division. The event will take over two days to crown State Champions. Teams qualified for the State Championships based on their order of finish in regional leagues held statewide between November 1^st and January 31st.

More than 1,000 student athletes statewide participated during the bowling season. Now in its 52^nd year, this is the 2nd longest running High School Bowling Championship in America, following only New York. Media coverage is invited and will be assisted.

Teams will bowl five, 5 games matches on Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. using the Swiss Format. Teams return Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. to bowl, five additional matches with total points won over the two days determining the State Champions.
